Male infertility
Infertility is defined by the impossibility for a couple to conceive a child after a year or more of regular, unprotected attempts ( 2 to 3 times a week ).
In most cases this infertility is linked to the quality of the sperm.
Several factors affect the quality and quantity of sperm by inducing the production of non-viable sperm or anatomical abnormalities that lead to male infertility.

Spermogram abnormalities are numerous and variable:
- Hypospermia: full ejaculatory volume less than 1.5ml
- Aspermia: zero ejaculatory volume
- Hyperspermia: ejaculatory volume greater than 6 ml
- Oligozoospermia: sperm concentration below 15 million/ml
- Polyzoospermia: sperm concentration greater than 250 million/ml
- Azoospermia is the medical condition of a man whose semen contains no sperm.
- Cryptozoospermia is a sperm disorder that leads to male infertility and is characterized by the presence of very few sperm in the ejaculate.
- Asthenozoospermia is a condition where the sperms have reduced motility (movement) compared to healthy ones.
- Akinetospermia: zero mobility of all the spermatozoa in the collection
- Necrozoospermia: decreased sperm vitality.
